Data Log

Data Log provides actual patient data collected while the patient is wearing the hearing aid(s) in different environments. For example, time spent per program, battery life, user volume, directionality, environmental adaptation, etc. Pro Fit automatically compares the information in the data log against the current settings of the hearing aid. Data Log can also demonstrate the usage and benefit of amplification to the patient and their family and troubleshoot issues during follow-up visits. An overview of the patient's data log, including battery life, average input level (dB SPL), directional usage, percent of time spent per sound class, etc., can be printed and filed for reference. The data log can be reset at any time. In addition, this feature can be enabled/disabled in select products.

  1. Connect and select the desired hearing aid(s) to view via Connect.
  2. Click Connect.
  3. Click Data Log Data Log from the Left Navigation Menu.
Note:  If less than 1 hour of data has been logged, either "N/A", "< 1", "0", or "?" displays depending on the hearing aid connected.
    Data Heading Description
Data Log: On/Off Enables/disables data log. Patient data will be collected if On is selected, which is the default. If fitting binaurally but viewing monaurally, the selected setting is automatically assigned to the opposite ear side because the state of this feature must match between devices. If Off is selected, the data log will be reset if confirmed. If disabled and Clear Settings and Reset Device or any Best Fit option is selected, Data Log is automatically enabled.
Data Log Date Range Hearing aid's date range of the data log. If viewing a live retrieved fitting session, the date range from the saved session displays, and if simulating, the start date is 60 days before the end date.
Edge Mode Number of Edge Mode activations and the average hours spent per activation. Only displays for select products.
Average Daily Use (hours) Average hours used per day for all programs combined per ear side.
Average Time Streaming (hours) Average hours spent audio streaming per day for all programs combined per ear side. Only displays if fitting or simulating Omega AI, Edge AI, G Series AI, and Genesis AI wireless products.
Average Battery Life (hours for Full data log and Last four batteries) Average battery life based on the total and last four batteries used. Only displays for non-rechargeable wired products.
Programs Usage Donut pie chart showing the percent of time spent per program and ear side.
Input Level Distribution (SPL) Bar graph showing the percent of time spent between <40 and >90 dB SPL and the average input level per program and ear side.
Volume Control Slider image showing the modifications (average) from the programmed user setting and the volume gain range per program and ear side. Only displays if the patient can adjust the hearing aid's volume via the physical user control (e.g., rocker switch, push button, etc.), T2, Ear to Ear, My Starkey mobile application, or an accessory. If no time was spent in a specific program, the average user setting () will not display for that program.
Tinnitus Level Slider image showing the modifications (average) from the programmed user level and the tinnitus output range per program and ear side. Only displays if the patient can adjust the Tinnitus level via the physical user control (e.g., rocker switch, push button, etc.), T2, Ear to Ear, or My Starkey mobile application, and Tinnitus is enabled in the selected program via Tinnitus. The number of steps, programmed user level, and output range are based on how the hearing aid is configured for tinnitus via User Controls. If no time was spent in a specific program, the average user level () will not display for that program.
Time Spent in Sound Class Percent of time each adaptive feature was engaged per program and ear side. Only displays for select products.
Average Gain Adaptation: (Sound Class Name) Average amount of gain adaptation that occurred per channel while the environment was active. Not available for Speech. Click on the sound class to view. The amount of gain adaptation that occurred is displayed in a tooltip by pointing to the channel bar.
Time Spent in Wind Total percent of time all adaptive features spent in Wind per program and ear side. Only displays for select products.
Directionality Percent of time spent in each directional setting per program and ear side. Only displays if the hearing aid supports a directional system.
  4. Pro Fit automatically defaults to a binaural view if applicable. To view only the right or left hearing aid, click Select Right Only or Select Left Only.
Note:  If fitting CROS/BiCROS devices, only data for the receiver aid is displayed.
  5. Pro Fit automatically defaults to displaying data for the *Personal program. To view data for a specific program, click on the desired program.
