    Field Name Description Details

    Display Left Raise/Right Lower Option

Denotes whether or not to display the user control option Left Raise/Right Lower via User Controls when configuring hearing aid volume, accessory volume, and/or tinnitus for select products.

The default is to not show Left Raise/Right Lower.

    Display Down/Up Option

Denotes whether or not to display the user control option Down/Up via User Controls when configuring hearing aid volume, accessory volume, and/or tinnitus for select products.

The default is to not show Down/Up.

    Display Sprinkler Increase Option

Denotes whether or not to display the user control option Sprinkler Increase via User Controls when configuring hearing aid volume, accessory volume, and/or tinnitus for select products.

The default is to not show Sprinkler Increase.

    Graph Display

    Default Graphical View

Selects the default graphical view throughout Inspire.

The options available are 2cc Coupler Output (dB SPL), 2cc Coupler Gain (dB), Real Ear Response (dB SPL), and Predicted Insertion Gain (dB). The default is Real Ear Response (dB SPL).

    Display Thresholds and UCLs

Denotes whether or not to display the patient's Audiogram thresholds on the SPL graphs with a thin black line.

If selected, the patient’s hearing thresholds and UCLs will be converted to SPL and displayed on the graph along with the hearing device response. If the patient’s uncomfortable level thresholds (UCL) are entered into the Noah, PatientBase, or ProHear database or on the Audiometer screen, they will also be displayed on the screen. By default, the thresholds are not displayed. If not selected and DSL v5 fitting formula is selected, air conduction and UCLs automatically display.

    Display Shading on SPL Graph

Denotes whether or not to display shading on the SPL graphs, which represents the allowable range of adjustment (e.g., gain or output).

The default is to display shading.

Display Max Output Line on all SPL Graphs

Denotes whether or not to display the maximum output line on the SPL graphs.

The default is to display Max Output Line.

    Memory Options

    Enable One-Way Memory Linking

Denotes whether or not to automatically link all acoustic memories to *Normal (Memory 1) for simultaneous gain and output adjustments.

The default is to not automatically link all memories to *Normal. However, if selected, one-way memory linking can be disabled during any fitting session via most Fitting and Advanced Tools screens.

    Volume Control

Modify Reserve Gain Without Prompting Denotes whether or not a prompt should display anytime the reserve gain is modified. If selected, which is checked by default, Inspire Best Fit will modify the reserve gain without prompting when necessary. If not selected, a prompt will appear if the reserve gain will be modified to best match the fitting formula target.
Reserve Gain (Button) Customizes the default reserve gain values per style and fitting formula for S Series, E Series, Xino Classic, Zōn, and Destiny products only. Reserve gain can be set from 0-20 dB in 2 dB steps. The default is 10 dB for all custom styles with or without volume controls, 0 dB for all On the Ear (OTE) and Receiver in the Canal (RIC) devices (except RIC T2, which is 10 dB), and 14 dB for all Behind the Ear (BTE) devices (except BTE 13 no VC (WFA fitting formula only) and BTE 312 no VC, which are 0 dB).
Default Digital Volume Control Range Selects the default range for the digital volume control (for select products) on the User Controls screen. The options available are 8, 12, 20, and 40 dB. By default, the digital volume control range is set at 20 dB.

    Automatic Functions

Launch Auto Path on Initial Read

Denotes whether or not Auto Path should launch automatically when a hearing aid containing this feature is connected and read but Auto Path has not been executed previously.

The default is to have Auto Path launch automatically.

    Automatically Mute Devices When Detected

Denotes whether or not to turn off (mute) the microphone when a hearing aid is connected and a live fitting is selected.

The default is to not mute devices. If not selected and Auto Path is launched or a receiver is being changed, the hearing aid is muted automatically.

Apply Auto Adjust to eliminate feedback

Denotes whether the Feedback Canceller initialization or a Best Fit should automatically apply mid-frequency management in Evolv AI products if potential feedback exists in any program's mid frequencies and/or adjust the gain to prevent feedback if the programmed gain exceeds Maximum Stable Gain in Evolv AI, Livio Edge AI, Livio AI, Livio, and Picasso products.

If selected, which is checked by default, Inspire will automatically adjust the mid-frequency management and/or gain. If not selected, the mid-frequency management and/or gain must be adjusted manually via Feedback Canceller.

    Hearing Aid Lock Code Key

    Hearing Aid Lock Code Key

Identifies the code to lock a hearing aid and prevent any adjustments without first unlocking the aid.

1 Numeric (0-9) per field; 4 digit code required; code 0000 disallowed

If a code is identified, the 4 digit code will be stored in the aid if enabled via Device Access Settings. When the hearing aid is later connected, if the 4 digit code doesn't match the code in General Preferences, it must be entered to unlock the aid before it can be read and adjustments made.

    Noah FastData

Include FastData when saving sessions to Noah

Denotes whether or not to save a .pdf containing the first and possibly the REM Target Match graph page of the Fitting Report for all ear sides to Noah whenever a session is saved in Inspire.

The default is to not include FastData. However, if selected, displays to the left of the fitting session in Noah whenever a session is saved in Inspire. This preference is only available if Inspire was launched from within Noah 4.7 or higher.

    System Performance

    Enable Hardware Acceleration

Denotes whether or not to improve performance if you experience glitches or crashes while using Inspire.

The default is not to enable hardware acceleration. If you experience issues, uncheck this feature.
