Indicators set and adjust the signals that inform the patient of a low battery, memory change, volume increase/decrease, etc., select the language for speech indicators, and enable/disable any desired indicators. Adjustments can be made globally or individually and can be demonstrated to the patient through his/her hearing aids or to his/her family through the computer's speakers.
The indicators available are based on the hearing aid connected or simulated and its physical user control (e.g., rocker switch, push button, etc.). For example, Favorite Button and Cell Phone are only available for wireless hearing aids except Evolv AI, Livio Edge AI, Livio AI, Livio, Halo iQ, Halo 2, and Halo. Indicators are enabled by default if the hearing aid features are enabled. For example, Telephone is only enabled if a Telephone memory is enabled.

Speech Indicators and Indicator Schemes
Click on the Read Device Settings or Load a Previous Session radio button and then click Start.
Note: If the hearing aid feature hasn't been enabled, this field is disabled. Enable the desired feature first (e.g., memory, volume, tinnitus, etc.) via the appropriate Fitting screen. However, Memory/Home, Hearing Aid Volume, Accessory Stream (which includes Start Stream and Accessory Volume), and Mute are automatically enabled via Best Fit in Evolv AI, Livio Edge AI, Livio AI, and Livio products because accessories can be paired outside of Inspire. For Volume Max and Volume Increase, reserve gain must be available via User Controls and for Self Check in older products, the hearing aid must have a baseline and User-Initiated Self Check must be selected via Self Check. When an indicator is enabled, the average level of all enabled indicators of that type (tone or speech/chime) defaults. |
Note: For Evolv AI, Livio Edge AI, Livio AI, Livio, Picasso, Halo iQ, Muse iQ, SoundLens Synergy iQ, Halo 2, Muse, and SoundLens Synergy products, individual indicators for Max, Home, Steps/Volume Increase/Decrease (select products only), and Min are located under the main Hearing Aid Volume, Tinnitus Level, or Accessory Stream (must contain either a rocker switch or push button, or support T² remote control) indicator. If the main indicator is enabled or disabled, all individual indicators will be enabled or disabled respectively. If all the individual indicators are enabled, a checkmark displays for the main Hearing Aid Volume, Tinnitus Level, or Accessory Stream indicator and if all individual indicators are disabled, no checkmark displays. If all the individual indicators are neither enabled nor disabled, a square displays. The tones for all volume or tinnitus changes will be presented at the level selected for the main Hearing Aid Volume, Tinnitus Level, or Accessory Stream indicator but the stimulus can be selected per individual indicator. |
Note: Custom/TruLink/Stream Boost is only available for Evolv AI, Livio Edge AI, Livio AI, Livio, Halo iQ, Halo 2, and Halo products. For Evolv AI, Livio Edge AI, Livio AI, Livio, and Halo iQ products specifically, these indicators are located under the Memory/Home indicator (see the Note above for usage). For Halo products specifically, this indicator is linked to the Memory/Home indicator, therefore, it cannot be enabled or disabled independently. If Memory/Home is enabled, tones will only be presented if the Custom/TruLink or Stream Boost memory is initiated manually via the push button (BTE only) or the iOS device. |
Note: For CROS/BiCROS products, indicators can only be enabled or disabled for the receiver aid; however, if Low Battery, Mute (2.4 GHz only), and/or Power-Off Sound are enabled, a cue indicator will be presented in the transmitter after the speech, chime, or tone series/warble tone indicating that this device's battery is low, muting, or is turning off. The receiver aid will only play the speech, chime, or tone series/warble tone when this device's battery is low, muting, or is turning off, therefore, only this indicator can be demonstrated to the patient through his/her 900 MHz hearing aid. However, if demonstrating through the computer's speakers, the indicator and cue for the 900 MHz transmitter will play first followed by the indicator for the receiver. For 2.4 GHz products, these indicators can be demonstrated through the patient's hearing aid or computer's speakers by first clicking Receiver or Transmitter. CROS Stream Start and CROS Stream Stop can only be enabled or disabled if at least one memory is configured for CROS or BiCROS mode via CROS/BiCROS. If Volume and Balance Control are combined, they can only be enabled or disabled if the patient can adjust either the volume or balance via the hearing aid's physical user control and/or wireless accessory. |
Note: This button is only enabled during a live fitting. If viewing binaurally and the indicator is enabled in both hearing aids, the indicator is presented in the left aid first, followed by a 2 second delay before it's presented in the right aid. |
