Pro Fit Updater

Pro Fit Updater searches and retrieves full versions or updates to Pro Fit whenever they become available, so Pro Fit is always up to date with the latest products and improvements. Pro Fit Updater automatically checks for updates once daily when the computer is rebooted, or Pro Fit is launched, but a manual check can also be performed. A live Internet connection is required to check and download updates.

1. Click Help from the Menu Bar.
2. Click Check for Updates and a dialog will appear if updates are available.

   Note:  This feature is only available if Allow Pro Fit Updater to keep Pro Fit up to date is selected via Information Preferences. If selected, a pop-up appears automatically when updates are available to download.

   Tip:  Double click on the Pro Fit Updater icon on the system tray or right click on the icon  and click Check for Pro Fit updates. If an update is available, an indicator displays on the icon .

   Note:  If no updates are available, click Close.

3. Select when to download the update from the drop-down list.

   Note:  The options available are Now, Remind me next time Pro Fit is closed, Remind me tomorrow, Remind me next week, and Skip this version. The default is Now.

4. Click Download Now to download the update and a progress bar indicates the overall status of completion, click Remind Me Later to close the dialog and redisplay later based on the option selected, or click Skip to close the dialog and disregard this update.

   Note:  Based on the download option selected detemines the button label.

   Tip:  Click Close to close the dialog and redisplay the next time a manual or automatic check for updates is performed.

5. Once the download is complete, click Install Now to install the update.

   Tip: To delay the installation, click Install Later and redisplay the dialog the next time a manual or automatic check for updates is performed.

6. Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.
7. Click Install.
8. Once the install is complete, click Finish.
