Swap Fit

Swap Fit transfers settings from a fitting session to a hearing aid that may differ by product family, tier, style, or feature set. The hearing aid's response from the fitting session is used as the “target” for the response of the destination hearing aid. All other settings (programs [except custom programs], feature settings, etc.) are transferred if there is a one-to-one match between hearing aids. Otherwise, the destination hearing aid will be set to default settings. Audio Streaming settings, Feedback Canceller, Real Ear Measurement, and Self Check initializations are not transferred; you should run these once Swap Fit is complete. If REM Target Match data already exists in the destination hearing aid, Swap Fit clears it. Swap Fit can also transfer a previous hearing aid session programmed with older firmware to the same aid with newer firmware.

If swap fitting CROS/BiCROS products, a hearing aid fitting session can only be transferred to a receiver aid, and a receiver session can be transferred to a hearing aid or a receiver aid if it's being paired with a transmitter. If a receiver session is transferred to a hearing aid, all compatible user controls are transferred but CROS/BiCROS settings are not. If swap fitting to a 2.4 GHz CROS/BiCROS receiver aid, the Power-On Delay is automatically set to Short if a different setting was selected previously.

  1. Click Retrieve Session via Connect.
  2. Click on the session to transfer.
  3. Click Connect and Apply Settings.
  4. Connect and select the desired destination hearing aid(s).
  5. Click Connect and Apply Settings.
Note:  Swap Fit displays if the session differs from the connected hearing aid(s). Swap Fit is unavailable if the session is the same, and the settings are applied to the hearing aid(s).
Tip:  Swap Fit will also launch automatically if you attempt to Load Settings into a hearing aid that does not match the chosen fitting session.
  6. Click Continue to begin Swap Fit.
Tip:  Click Back at any time to go back to a previous screen or click Cancel to cancel Swap Fit.
  7. Select the receiver type, receiver, connector, tube size, earpiece, earbud type, and/or vent size, if applicable, for the right or left aid.
Note:  'Select Options' is only available for standard products. The selected and current session receiver type, receiver/matrix, and/or acoustic properties are displayed. If swap fitting RIC hearing aids with SnapFit 2.0 Smart receiver cables attached, Pro Fit automatically detects and defaults the receiver type and receiver; therefore, these options cannot be selected. If any acoustic options are changed, the Feedback Canceller and Self Check initializations will be cleared.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Repeat steps 7-8 for the left aid if applicable.
Note:  It's important to remove the hearing aid(s) from the patient's ear(s) before data transfer.
  10. Click Begin Transfer.
Note:  Do not disconnect the hearing aid(s) from the computer during data transfer.
  11. Click OK once the transfer is complete.
Note:  If 2.4 GHz CROS/BiCROS products were swap fit, connect and read the devices in Pro Fit to ensure the receiver and transmitter are paired.
