Online Help

Online Help explains the many features of Inspire and provides tips to guide you through the program's basic functionality. A table of contents consisting of the navigation bar choices or an index relating to specific topics or functions can be selected. Online help can be accessed from any screen and is context-sensitive based. Therefore, if you're in a screen and need assistance regarding that specific topic, details regarding that screen automatically displays once online help is accessed. Any online instructions can be printed by selecting Print.

A browser such as Internet Explorer® or Netscape® Navigator is required to launch help.

  1. Click Inspire Help (F1) Inspire Help (F1) on the Inspire Toolbar.

    Tip:  Click Help from the Menu Bar, point to Inspire if NOAH 3 is installed, and click Help for Inspire or press F1 from any screen to access help.
  2. Navigate help.

Button Description

Contents

Displays the table of contents for the help file. Books represent the various modules. Click on the book to display "pages" representing the individual topics within that module. Click the page icon to display that help topic.

Index

Displays a multilevel list of topics and keywords or phrases. There are two ways to access the topics using the index. First, typing a keyword or phrase takes you directly to a topic or to a list of topics containing that keyword or phrase. Second, browsing through the index and then selecting a keyword or phrase directs you to the topic or to a list of topics containing the selected keyword or phrase. Click the topic to display.

Search

Provides full-text search capabilities giving you the ability to search the entire help system for a particular word or phrase. Enter a word or phrase and click Go Search and the search displays every topic that contains the particular word or phrase. Click the topic to display. To search for a set of words only (e.g., iQ Boost) rather than each word individually, enclose the words in quotation marks (e.g., "iQ Boost").

Print

Prints the current help topic. Click Print, change any print settings if desired, and click Print.
