Wireless Preferences

Wireless Preferences identifies the wireless hearing aid serial numbers that should be ignored when SurfLink Programmer detects devices and selects the wireless radio frequency profile.

  1. Click Preferences from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Wireless.

  3. Enter or edit wireless settings.

    * If the wireless profile was changed, exit Inspire and reaccess to implement the change
    Field Name Description Details
    Ignore Serial Numbers During Discovery Identifies the wireless serial numbers that should be ignored when SurfLink Programmer detects devices. A maximum of 10 serial numbers can be identified. These serial numbers are disregarded if the hearing aid is connected to a wired programmer (e.g., Hi-Pro, SpeedPort, etc.).
    Wireless Profile* Selects the wireless radio frequency profile that's different from the default target audience and locale's profile. If a different profile is selected, only hearing aids that were branded for the selected profile will be detected without changing the target audience and locale. The profiles available are Automatic, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Europe, India, Korea, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, and United States. The default profile is Automatic.
  4. To add a serial number, click in the Hearing Aid Serial Number field and enter the serial number.

  5. Click Add.

  6. To delete a serial number, click on the serial number.

  7. Click Remove.

  8. Click OK to save the settings for this session and return to the currently displayed screen.

    Tip:  Click Cancel to discard the changes and return to the currently displayed screen.
     
    Tip:  Click Apply to save the settings for this session but remain in the Preferences menu.
     
    Tip:  Click Restore to Inspire Defaults to revert the aforementioned Inspire defaults back to their original default settings.
