File Menu

The File Menu provides the options to create, open, and save sessions, print and preview reports, and close Inspire. If Inspire was launched from within NOAH 3, only Close Module displays and all the other options are available via the Inspire menu. Click on any option below for more information.

• New - Creates a new session

  1. Click File from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click New to create a new session.

     Tip: Click on the Inspire Toolbar to start a new session.

     Note:  If a session is currently in progress that hasn't been saved, the Save Fitting screen displays. Click Yes to save the session, click No to not save the session, or click Cancel to cancel creating a new session.

  3. The Get Started screen displays.

• Open - Opens a saved session for the selected patient

  1. Click File from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Open to open a saved session for the selected patient.

     Tip: Click on the Inspire Toolbar to open a saved session.

  3. Select the type(s) of session to open and a list of sessions displays.

     Note:  Based on the screen currently displayed determines the type of session selected to open. For example, if a fitting screen was open prior to accessing this screen, the Fitting filter will automatically be selected. Selection lists all product selections, Fitting lists all fittings, and Order lists all order information sessions.

  4. Click the + or double click on the session date to expand the tree.

  5. Click on the session to open.

     Note:  If the session selected is for one ear side but is part of a binaural session, both ear sides will be opened.

  6. Click OK.

     Note:  If a session is currently in progress that hasn't been saved, the Save Fitting screen displays. Click Yes to save the session, click No to not save the session, or click Cancel to cancel opening a session.

     Tip:  Click Cancel to cancel opening a session.

     Note:  If a session containing a product selection is retrieved but the product selected is no longer available, the product is cleared and a message displays.

• Save - Saves the current session

  1. Click File from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Save to save the current session to NOAH or ProHear.

     Tip: Click on the Inspire Toolbar to save the current session.

     Note:  If Prompt for Session Description is selected via General Preferences, the Save Fitting screen displays. Enter a description if desired and click Save or click Cancel to cancel saving the session.

• Save As - Saves the current session as a new session

  1. Click File from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Save As to save the current session to NOAH or ProHear as a new session.

     Note:  If Prompt for Session Description is selected via General Preferences, the Save Fitting screen displays. Enter a description if desired and click Save or click Cancel to cancel saving the session.

• Print - Prints a report

  1. Click File from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Print to print a report.

     Tip: Click  on the Inspire Toolbar to print a report.

• Print Preview - Previews a report before printing

  1. Click File from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Print Preview to preview a report before printing.

• Close Module - Closes Inspire

  1. Click File from the Menu Bar.

  2. Click Close Module to close Inspire.

     Note:  If a session is currently in progress that hasn't been saved, the Save Fitting screen displays. Click Yes to save the session, click No to not save the session, or click Cancel to cancel closing Inspire.
