Feature Validation provides you the opportunity to see the actual performance of the adaptive features available in the hearing instrument. Each icon represents a particular feature and will light up with an outline color and animate when that feature is active in response to an input. If an icon is selected, the adjustment options as well as a detailed real-time display of the adaptation that is occurring will be visible in the control panel.

The Feature Validation iconprovides a description of the function of Feature Validation, as well as its use with Surround Town. The icon is always present on the Feature Validation screen. When you hover the mouse directly over the icon, general information is displayed.
When Surround Town is open and Feature Validation is displayed in the bottom adjustment panel, two different scenarios can occur. In the first scenario, when there is no active Surround Town macro, an explanation of using Feature Validation and Surround Town together is displayed.
For the second scenario, when a Surround Town macro is active, an explanation of the macro and specific scene is displayed. Some examples of these messages include:
