Clicking on Directional in the navigational bar will display the directional portion of the data log.
Information displayed in this view includes:
Average Input Level (dB SPL)
Current Setting (Omni, Directional, or Dynamic)
Pie chart displaying average input level breakdown
Blue = Soft inputs <50 dB SPL
Green = Moderate inputs 50 - 80 dB SPL
Purple = Loud inputs >80 dB SPL
Pie chart displaying the percentage of time that the hearing aid was in an omni-directional mode vs. a directional mode. In addition, the data log will display the percentage of time the hearing instrument would have been in a certain condition. For example: if the current setting is set as an omni-directional response, the hearing instrument is still tracking the switching rules to determine if it would have switched to a directional response, were it available. This data is displayed in the data log, evaluated and incorporated into the recommendations.
For some products, the directional information will be displayed by a bar graph. It will also display the ‘what if’ condition.
