Data Log provides actual patient data collected while the patient is wearing the hearing aid(s) in different environments. For example, time spent per memory, battery life, user volume, self check, directionality, environmental adaptation, etc. can be displayed. Inspire automatically compares the information in the data log against the current settings of the hearing aid. Based on the objective data contained in the data log, Inspire may provide a set of recommendations per memory in an effort to improve the performance of the specific hearing aid. Some recommendations can be applied to the hearing aid and some suggest counseling the patient on usage, feedback prevention, etc. Data Log can also be used to demonstrate the usage and benefit of amplification to the patient and their family, and troubleshoot issues during follow-up visits. The data log can be reset at any time.
Data Log information can be displayed in several views and the following describes each view. Click on any option below for more information.
Summary - Displays cumulative data for all memories including average time spent per memory, average daily usage, average battery life, user volume, etc.
Self Learning - Displays gain changes made through Self Learning
Self Check - Displays the number of Self Check Diagnostics attempted and the Self Check Status from the last diagnostic
Directional - Displays the current setting (Omni, Directional, or Dynamic), the percentage of time the hearing aid was in each directional setting and average input level (dB SPL)
AudioScape - Displays the percentage of time the hearing aid(s) features were engaged in each environment, the average amount of gain adaptation that occurred per channel while each environment was active, and the average input level (dB SPL)
User Volume - Displays the average user volume change by sound class, overall user volume, time spent per sound class, current environmental adaptation setting, and dB adjustment
Quiet - Displays the percentage of time that expansion was occurring, the average input level (dB SPL), and the average amount of gain adaptation that occurred per channel while this environment was active
Wind - Displays the percentage of time that the hearing aid(s) was in wind noise, the average input level (dB SPL), and the average amount of gain adaptation that occurred per channel while this environment was active
Mechanical Sounds - Displays the percentage of time that the hearing aid(s) was in mechanical noise, the average input level (dB SPL), and the average amount of gain adaptation that occurred per channel while this environment was active
Speech in Noise - Displays the percentage of time that the hearing aid(s) was in speech noise, the average input level (dB SPL), and the average amount of gain adaptation that occurred per channel while this environment was active
Noise - Displays the percentage of time that the hearing aid(s) was in noise, the average input level (dB SPL), and the average amount of gain adaptation that occurred per channel while this environment was active
Other Sounds - Displays the percentage of time that the hearing aid(s) had noise management active, the average input level (dB SPL), and the average amount of gain adaptation that occurred per channel
Inspire automatically reads the data log contents when the hearing aid(s) are connected and displays the data when the views are selected. The date range for which the data has been collected displays for each ear side.
Data Log is available on all products except Advance 220 and Advance 20 RICs and some views are only applicable for select products only. In addition, when fitting binaurally, if the two hearing aids contain different circuits or are from different product families, the data cannot be displayed binaurally.
